Familock came together in 2018 when a small group of Bangkok-based household advisors noticed that many families they worked with shared the same quiet worry: important papers were scattered, misfiled, or simply lost. Birth certificates lived in different drawers from marriage records. Insurance documents turned up only after the moment they were needed.
The founding team — drawn from backgrounds in records management, adult education, and community outreach — decided to do something about it. Not by offering advice or telling families what decisions to make, but by helping them see their own information clearly, laid out in a way that made sense.
Seven years on, Familock works with individual households across greater Bangkok and with community associations whose members benefit from plain-language household planning education. Our approach has stayed the same throughout: calm, careful, and strictly informational.

Household Planning Education in Bangkok
Familock operates at the intersection of household organisation and accessible education. Bangkok families face a particular set of circumstances: multi-generational households, a mix of Thai and international document types, and a fast-changing urban environment where knowing the location and meaning of key papers can make a meaningful difference when it matters most.
Our Family Records Index service addresses the most common starting point — a household that knows it has important documents somewhere but has never sat down to catalogue them. The result is a clear, labelled reference list that every adult household member can use, prepared in a single organised session.
The Planning Education Pack takes a different approach: a self-paced collection of booklets and a companion glossary that explains general household-planning concepts in plain English, with pointers to the Thai official bodies and websites where up-to-date guidance lives. Families who prefer to work through information at home, in their own time, find this format comfortable and lasting.
For community associations, the Association Family Education programme provides a complete, ready-to-deliver package. Facilitator notes walk group leaders through each session topic. Materials are designed so that no prior specialist knowledge is needed to run a clear, useful session for members. All content remains strictly informational, with official sources signposted throughout.
